Townsend Tennessee Heritage Festival in The Great Smoky Mountains

The Townsend Heritage Festival celebrates Fall in The Great Smoky Mountains with traditional music, crafts, demonstrations, and plenty of food. Sit back in the cool mountain air and listen to the high-lonesome of bluegrass music or learn traditional skills of Appalachia like blacksmithing, basketry, and quilting. The festival features a variety of artisans and their unique creations of wood, pottery, painting, and more. Guests will find the history of the Appalachian Mountains comes alive through the antique tractor shows, mountain storytellers, and other tributes to mountain heritage.
The event runs Friday and Saturday, September 28th and 29th, 2018. The event is free and parking is $10 for one day or $15 for two days. Be sure to take advantage of the local free shuttle that travels all around the Townsend area too. For more information and updates, check out the event website.
