Tennessee Valley Fair Begins September 7th

Fall is just around the corner, which means it is that time of year for fairs and festivals. There is a fair right here in Appalachia that you don’t want to miss! The Tennessee Valley Fair is currently taking place in Knoxville and will run through September 16th.
Get out and explore all the fair has to offer while enjoying the culture of Eastern Tennessee. Save money and buy ahead of time. Tickets are currently on sale. See the official Tennessee Valley Fair site for more information on purchasing tickets.
Ticket pricing, purchased at the fair:
- Adult tickets (ages 12-64) – $10.00
- Child admission (ages 6-11) – $8.00
- Senior citizen (ages 65 and up) tickets – $8.00
- Children ages 5 and under are free
These tickets can be used any time between now and the last day of the fair, September 16th.
Parking is $10.00 per vehicle.
Things to Do at the Tennessee Valley Fair
There will be plenty of fun offered for the whole family. Adults can enjoy the Beer Garden, while children visit Farmer Phil at Kiddie Land to watch his magic and comedy act. End the evening with fireworks, courtesy of the Tennessee Education Lottery.

Hop on over to Kiddie Land and check out the animals at the Little Ponderosa Zoo and Rescue exhibit. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing exotic animals around the United States. The zoo is located in Anderson County, Tennessee.
Some of the animals that have been rescued by this organization include zebras, camels, kangaroos, alpacas, Amazon parrots, and bearded dragons.

Carnival Attractions
What’s a fair without carnival rides? Wade Shows, Inc. has provided amusement rides for the Tennessee Valley Fair for the past 15 years. Individual ride tickets can be purchased as well as unlimited ride tickets.
Unlimited wristbands can be used for one day only. Monday – Thursday the cost is $22.00 per wristband and Friday – Sunday the cost is $25.00 per wristband.
Individual ride tickets can be purchased for $1.25 each.
