The 27th Annual Grainger County Tomato Festival is so Ta’mazing, its voted in America’s top 10 free festivals. July 26th through 28th, families come to Rutledge TN to experience Appalachian artists, craftsmen, and vendors. Starting in 1992, agricultural products have been on display during the festivities, and there is a good reason.

Grainger County tomatoes are famous, but there is a lot more to celebrate here. The other produce is fantastic too! If Grainger grows it, rest assured, it is delicious. Furthermore, we are rich in talent when it comes to artists, authors, and craftsmen/women. Artisans of all mediums take part in this event. You’ll find glass, woodworking, clay, jewelry, textiles, paint, and fresh food. Years past, festivities started small, but it has grown into a flourishing gathering full of events, contests, Appalachian art, and family fun.

No fabulous food and art event would be without music, so bands will perform throughout the tomato festival. Walking around works up an appetite, and fantastic food will be plentiful. There will be healthy homemade goodies and some traditional fair treats, ready to eat. Furthermore, this is a pet-friendly event, as long as man’s best friend is on a leash! Watering stations are on hand so you and your fur friend can cool down quickly.

Got Mountain Life is proud to be a part of the 2019 festivities with Aj’s new product line! We encourage you to stop by our booth and check out the homemade goodies we’ve been working on. Aj’s been busy cooking up special treats like Moonshine Pickles, which btw, contain actual moonshine.
